A SEA BREEZE... BREATHE THE SEA
published on 2020-06-21PERFUMES FROM ONE SHORE TO ANOTHER
We are proud to reflect on the transcendent show “RIVAGES” created by the composer, sound artist, sound engineer, Rodolphe Collange and the organist Virgile Monin.
Thus, we are happy to be able to integrate the odor vector, the perfume, into this sound show already presented during the festival “Toulouse les orgues” at the church of Gesu.
“RIVAGES” is made up of scenes which give way to musical space in places of organs like churches, cathedrals, etc.
Silences, there is only one, that of the end where we are dumbfounded!
The spectator is carried on a sound and electronic raft with an organ which acts as a natural synthesizer.
Far from the classics, an atmosphere of Pink Floyd, arrangements influenced by Mike Oldfield, sounds like John Zorn.
A sound but also olfactory journey from one shore to the other, from one horizon to another.
We are fortunate to envisage research and development in the olfactory management of this show by
- the implementation of an olfactory scenography (study of the show, adaptation to the initial behavior, timing, choice of odors …)
- Olfactory creations (study of materials, compositions, legislation, diffusion test, etc.)
- Olfactory diffusion (study of place, space, arrangement of machines, in situ diffusion test, wiring, etc.)
Our olfactory scenography is made up of 8 scents inspired by masterpieces (William Turner, Édouard Manet, Gustave Courbet, Théodore Géricault), by perfume raw materials, by history …
