Balm to the heart for mummies

The “outyou”, the bandagers, were those embalming priests who filled the bodies locked up in rot-proof wooden sarcophagi with pleasant odors.

Through an olfactory journey to ancient Egypt, perfumer-creator Pierre Bénard will decipher the scented materials used in the mummification ceremony.

This nasal stroll will continue in the gardens of the Toulouse Museum in Borderouge to discover these ancestral fragrant plants.
