From matter to spirit
“Perfume is the spirit that conceives it, it is the spirit that composes it.
Material and immaterial, perfume as a transparent entity.
Impalpable, this body, this volatile soul is a messenger that comes to our receivers, our emotions, our memories, our memory.
Allegory of perfume, the spirit is this olfactory form in the air that we breathe, that we inhale, exhale and that lets us know that we are alive.”
Following a small Halo 3 during the cabinet of curiosity in St Etienne, we are offering a fourth halo of the exhibition “From matter to spirit” which will take place from Monday October 28 to Saturday November 2, 2024,
This ephemeral exhibition, imagined and designed by the Toulouse perfumer-creator Pierre Bénard, accompanied by other artists, will take shape at the GrandBazar at 3 rue du cimetière.
During this week of exhibition:
– Olfactory workshops for children aged 7 to 12 on the theme “Does it smell like a ghost?”, on Tuesday 29 October and Thursday 31 October from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. by reservation
– An olfactory conference for adults “What does a ghost smell like?” will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m., for 1 hour, to initiate the opening of the exhibition.
The opening of this multisensory olfactory installation will take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 during the olfactory conference.
– On Thursday, October 31, 2024, we are offering you a new culinary event “From matter to spirit”: a sensory dinner imagined by Pierre Bénard, perfumer, Alex Melotto, chef & Karine Chouicha from Grandbazar.
