Festival of wood scents in Bologna

Invited to Bologna by the Italian association OraBlu to provide an olfactory training on the theme of wood scents and woody fragrances.
On Friday, May 24th, 2019 at the Palazzo Isolani in Bologna, Osmoart is completing a master class “IN THE MOOD FOR OUD: Essences and Fragrances of the Forest” as part of the Smell Festival.
As the lung of our planet, the forest perfumes the air we breathe with essences of roots, trunks, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds produced by trees. These vital fragrances have been the subject of this masterclass.
Participants had the opportunity to feel the woody raw materials and to know their criteria as well as to create a natural accord inspired by agarwood (oud), one of the most expensive natural ingredients of perfumery.
We maintain that awareness of the sense of smell promotes openness to the world around us, encourages an interest in the protection of our planet and embraces us as an individual.
Achievements:
- Understand classification of natural raw material according Pierre Benard’s methodology
- Acquire knowledge & enrich own olfactory culture according to various disciplines (botany, production, olfaction, inspiration, etc.) around the thematic of agarwood.
- Create a natural woody chord inspired by agarwood.
